Ineffective way to get rid of cellulite

There are many types of products on the market claiming they can cure cellulite. The sad thing is, however, many of them don’t actually work. There are a multitude of pills, supplements, potions, and lotions that claim to work on cellulite, only to provide disappointing results. Unfortunately, it is going to take more than just exercise and a change of diet to get rid of cellulite. Exercise is a healthy choice but cannot specifically target cellulite, and a good diet can prevent cellulite but not get rid of it.

Liposuction may seem like a valid alternative, but if the connective tissue is the underlying cause of the problem, this will turn out to be only a temporary solution. Another ineffective cellulite treatment method is what is known as electrotherapy. This unit is a little electronic muscle stimulator that combines a direct current with ions of soluble salt to provide a therapeutic effect to the individual, but has not been proven to be an effective method of reducing cellulite.

There has been much talk about various cellulite creams that can take away your orange-peel looking patches, but there have been none that have proven to be effective so far. Many of these creams promote the inclusion of Xanthines in their product, but recent studies have shown that the use of Xanthines in a cream has no effect on cellulite. Creams that include Retinoids, a vitamin A derivative used for wrinkles, are recently being considered as a possible cellulite treatment, but so far tests have been inconclusive. Another popular cellulite cream that has been proposed as a solution to cellulite is one that includes Alpha Hydroxy Acids. AHA’s are found in plants, fruits, and other certain foods and have an exfoliating quality that works well on fine wrinkles. There is still no proof that this type of cellulite cream is effective either though.

Herbal supplements have also been presented as a possible treatment for cellulite, but there has been no new information to support these claims since a 1999 clinical study found no effect on cellulite by people using these supplements. Body wraps and massage therapy have also been rumored to be able to reduce or get rid of cellulite, but neither of these methods has ever actually been proven effective either.
